In Praise of Fear

"Fear is the spur that can get you to exercise, to attend a support group, to educate yourself about Parkinson's and treatments, to be disciplined about your pill routine and physical therapy, to see your doctor regularly. Of course fear uncontrolled can lead to disaster. But so can an excess of bravery. The trick is to channel  your fear to work for you, to feel fear, but not succumb to it."
