MEET THE EXPERT SERIES: John Dean, “Thinking and Speaking on your feet!”

January 15 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

“Your voice is your identity, and you bring it with you wherever you are. Join me for a challenging exercise program that combines voice and cognition alongside common movements and everyday activities.” — John Dean, MA, CCC-SLP.

Class Information: Live Mondays 9 am PST January 22 – March 25, 2024

Your “Morning Wake-Up Call” class is a communication and cognition exercise class that helps you start the day with a strong voice and a clear mind. Each session includes breath, voice, and speech exercises in conjunction with vocal + cognitive and conversational exercise challenges that change every week.

The goal of this program is to extend simple voice exercises to activities that help participants practice using that voice in challenging situations in order to replicate the types of daily challenges that people living with Parkinson’s experience every day.

Although there will be time in each class devoted to strengthening the voice, breath and other components of speech, we will be extending those skills with cognitive challenges to solidify the concepts in ways that can be immediately applied to daily life.

Our online and in-person programs are FREE to you because of the dedication of our partners, instructors, and generous donors. Thank you for helping to support our mission, so that no one walks the Parkinson’s journey alone.
