What is it?

Designed through a training from the Brooklyn Parkinson’s Foundation and Mark Morris Dance Groups, this program is a partnership with the Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation and Gonzaga University’s Dance Program.
What to Expect?
Arrival:
After signing in, you will be directed to the dance studio, remove your shoes, and pick a chair in the circle.
Chair Exercises:
Beginning with arms and then incorporating our whole body, we will gradually work towards standing exercises.
Across the Floor:
The instructor will teach several movements and phrases focusing on coordination and expression.
Graduate Circle:
To conclude, we’ll acknowledge and thank each person for their presence and contribution to the class.
More Details?
Gonzaga University Dance students participate in the class as volunteers. Students dance alongside participants as examples and sources of support, and also help with setup and take down.
Participation and volunteering questions can be directed toward Sydney, Lead Dance Instructor or email dance@gonzaga.edu
Our online and in-person programs are FREE to you because of the dedication of our partners, instructors, and generous donors. Thank you for helping to support our mission, so that no one walks the Parkinson’s journey alone.
