Meet Your Local and Regional PD Experts around the Inland Area of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. Those in Western Montana and other markets are welcome to join. This is online, so no travel needed.

Dr. Jonathan Carlson, MD
Neurosurgeon · Providence and Inland Neurosurgery and Spine

Dr. Jonathan Carlson is a board-certified neurosurgeon at Inland Neurosurgery and Spine Associates and Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. He specializes in Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) therapy for Parkinson’s disease, Essential Tremor disease and dystonia, as well as brain tumor surgery, and radiosurgery treatment of brain tumors. Dr. Carlson completed his residency in neurological surgery at Oregon Health and Science University in 2008. His medical degree was completed in 2001 at Loma Linda University. He received a Ph.D. in neuroscience in 1998 from Loma Linda University, studying Parkinson’s disease.

John Cahill
DBS Therapy Consultant · Boston Scientific & Bionic Brain Club

John grew up in Billings, MT and made his way to Missoula, MT where he attended the University of Montana.  Shortly after graduation he started working in the medical device industry.  In 2013 he started working for Medtronic DBS in Spokane, WA supporting Montana, Idaho, and eastern Washington.  John joined the Parkinson’s Resource Center in 2012, a local Spokane patient focused non-profit, as a board member and served as board president and has been on Summit for Parkinson’s board since 2020.  He currently works for Boston Scientific DBS and resides in the Spokane area with his wife and three kids. He enjoys coming back home to Montana to see family and friends.
