Northwest Parkinson’s Community,

April 11 is World Parkinson’s Day. On this important day, I wanted to provide you an update on last year’s legislation called the National Plan to End Parkinson’s Act!

The National Plan to End Parkinson’s Act (House Resolution 8585 and Senate Bill 4851) has been re-introduced in this year’s 118th Congress as the National Parkinson’s Project (H.R.2365 and S.1064).

There are currently fourteen Representatives signed on in support of the bill in the House. None of which are from our four-state region which includes Alaska, Montana, Idaho, and Washington.

There are currently eight Senators signed on in support of the bill in the Senate. Of our four states, only Senator Dan Sullivan from Alaska has signed on in support thus far.

Let’s make it a clean sweep and encourage all of our elected leaders to sign on in support of this important legislation. Let them know what you think!
